The "Collected Tales of Nurse Matilda" inspired the Nanny McPhee movies and are hilarious in their own right. This is a Must-read. I counted 63 children in the Brown family -- might have missed a few -- and overall they really weren't really naughty. They just needed adult guidance and to learn that hurtful actions, however well-intentioned, must not happen. I never have figured out how the Brown's managed to have so many children in such a short time. Good thing that they had Nurse Matilda to keep the kiddies in line.
Beginning of term I was trying to get all my students interested in reading and listening to stories that they normally do not have a chance to read. I ordered the book on line and within 21days the book arrived. The children are enjoying the story very much and are loving all the characters. They sit with anticipation as I read each of the chapters.
If your children like funny stories about kids who are REALLY naughty, then this is the book you should get for them!

There are variations from book to movie, such as the name, and the presence of Mrs. Brown, but, on the whole, it's the same story.

Very Funny!!!
